Hi reader. Most of Malaysia customers buy items from china in big volume under CNF term. Normally for CNF term, shipper will arrange cargo up to Destination port.
Example like : Consignee (malaysia client) buy vending machine from shaghai supplier.
the shanghai supplier will arrange shipment until Port Klang port.
In order to do smoothly customs clearance, consignee in Malaysia should find any freight forwarder to do customs clearance once the shipment arrived in Port Klang.
In Most of case, consignee only try to look local freight forwarder once the shipment arrive in Malaysia. This will cost consignee if arrange late customs clearance due to only 3 days free storage provided for LCL & for FCL minimum 5 days.
So as a consignee or planing to import something into Malaysia, make sure you guys find any freight forwarder in advance before the shipment reach destination port.
Below are the documents which you need to prepare as a importer :-
